The new face of Smart Pay As You Go.

Once we've started creating your E.ON Next account, you won't be able to transfer money between meters anymore, but you'll have the option to split any payments you make between your gas and electricity.

There’ll be a slight change to your friendly hours, which will be 4pm to 10am Monday to Friday, when we won’t disconnect you if you accidentally run out of credit. Weekends and bank holidays will remain the same as today. You’ll pay back what you’ve used the next time you top up.

Your electricity meter will no longer automatically reconnect if it's disconnected when you've run out of credit and you've then topped up again. You’ll need to press the button on your meter, like you do for your gas.

It'll be easier than ever to top up. With E.ON Next, you can top up using our app, on our new website using your credit / debit card, or you can use cash and your personal barcode(s) at your local Payzone, PayPoint or Post Office, which will send the money straight to your meter.

Please make sure that you use any vouchers as soon as you can, as you won't be able to use them when your E.ON Next account is ready.

You can check your exact balance on your meter, but your online account will show you a daily snapshot.

Receive free alerts to remind you to top up. We’ll let you know when your balance reaches £5 and when it’s less than £2.

You’ll have £10 emergency credit per fuel, just in case you run out before you’re able to top up.

Your prices won’t change when you move to E.ON Next, but they might change after the regular price cap review.
