The cost of your solar panels.

The starting price for a 6-panel system with on-roof solar panels is just £4,995, and a 12-panel (5.70 kWp) system starts from only £6,495.

Solar panels allow you to generate your own electricity using the sun's energy, potentially saving you up to £784 per year on your energy bills. By selling your exported electricity, you could even earn an additional £412 while reducing the carbon footprint of your home.

The overall system price can vary based on things like: the number of panels chosen, what size battery you add, how much scaffolding is required, if you choose panel optimisers to maximise generation performance.

As an energy supplier, we offer solar panel customers exclusive Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) tariffs, ensuring you're rewarded for the energy you export back to the grid.

How much could I save with solar panels?

Utilising the power of the Sun is not only energy-efficient but also a cost-saving solution for generating electricity in your home.

The potential savings are based on an annual usage of 4,000 kWh (kilowatt hours) and an electricity price of 26.35p/kWh, assuming a south-facing roof (35° pitch and no shade). These savings include the expected returns from 6 to 16 solar panels, along with SEG payments based on 475W rated solar panels.

The number of solar panels used is determined by the kilowatt peak (kWp) rating. The configurations are as follows: 6 solar panels at 2.85 kWp, 8 solar panels at 3.80 kWp, 10 solar panels at 4.75 kWp, 12 solar panels at 5.70 kWp, 14 solar panels at 6.65 kWp, 16 solar panels at 7.60 kWp.

These are example figures only, based on standardised MCS calculations. Savings are based on property fitted with a south-facing solar array in central England on a roof with a 35-degree tilt and no shading, with electricity consumption of 4,000 kWh per year (with the customer Home all day), at a tariff rate of 26.35p/kWh (the Ofgem energy price cap rate from 1 October 2025). The solar array contains 12 x 475W panels (5.70 kWp) generating 5,330 kWh/year, fitted with a 5.3 kWh (4.8 kWh usable) battery.

Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) payments, are payments for electricity you export to the grid. These savings figures are based on the E.ON Next Premium v3 Export tariff from E.ON Next of 17.5p per kWh (kilowatt hour) for E.ON Next import-tariff customers who purchase a solar solution.
