Prize draw terms and conditions.

1. The Prize Draw:

E.ON Next Energy Limited (company number 03782443) (“E.ON Next”) are offering existing E.ON Next customers a chance to win a prize (detailed in clause 6) when they have a smart meter installed between 01/05/2024 and 30/06/2024 inclusive (the “Prize Draw”).

To be eligible to enter the Prize Draw you must meet all of the Smart Meter Conditions (Clause 2) and Eligibility Criteria (Clause 3).

2. Smart Meter Conditions

You need to meet the following conditions to be eligible (“Smart Meter Conditions”):

  1. To have a smart meter fitted at your property you must have internet access.

  2. Your property must be within an area where we currently install smart meters.

  3. Allow our Engineers access to your meter to allow installation of your new smart meter

  4. Before our Engineers install your smart meter they will assess the suitability and compatibility of the smart metering system based on your customer needs and do a technical assessment. They will only proceed if they determine all the conditions are met for a safe and compliant installation of the smart meter. In the event that they are not able to do this you will not be entered into the Prize Draw.

  5. You may need your landlord’s permission, depending on the terms of your lease.

3. Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible to enter the Prize Draw you must, between 01/05/2024 and 30/06/2024 (the “Qualifying Period”), meet all of the conditions, listed below:

  1. Be a domestic or small business customer at the time of installation and have a registered account and supply of gas and/or electricity with E.ON Next;

  2. Have had at least 1) one non-smart meter successfully replaced with a smart meter or 2) a newly installed smart meter. To be considered a successful installation the smart meter must be both installed at your property and communicating within the Qualifying Period. Communication may take up to 14 (fourteen) calendar days;

  3. Be over 18 years of age;

  4. Be a resident of Great Britain;

  5. Be the account holder in relation to the supply required at clause 2(a); and

  6. Must have a valid email address.

4. Availability and restrictions:

  1. The Prize Draw is not open to employees or family members of E.ON, contractors, agency staff or those of agencies appointed by E.ON Next, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.

  2. Entry to the Prize Draw is limited to one entry per completed smart meter installation per account holder. Eligible customers with multiple properties will be entered into the Prize Draw once for each property that has had a successful installation.

  3. Prizes are not transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash or other alternative; they may not be sold, re-sold or auctioned.

  4. Subject to clause 3(h), in the event that failure to install a requested smart meter within the Qualifying Period is reasonably attributable to an act or omission by E.ON Next (for example, as a result of E.ON Next cancellation, Engineer doesn’t turn up and/or any other issue related to E.ON Next capacity), customers will not be eligible to be entered into the Prize Draw.

  5. Other than as set out in 4(f) entering and/or winning other E.ON Next promotions or prize draws does not disqualify entrants from entering or winning this Prize Draw.

  6. Any customers moving from a non-smart pre-payment meter to a smart meter are excluded from participating in this Prize Draw.

  7. Any customers who have a smart meter that needs to be replaced with a new smart meter due to fault or for any other reason are not eligible to take part in this Prize Draw.

  8. E.ON reserves the sole right to exclude fraudulent or duplicate entries.

5. How to enter:

Customers who meet the Eligibility Criteria in clause 2 at the end of the Qualifying Period will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw.

6. Prize Winners:

  1. The Prize Draw is administered and managed by Lock-in Marketing (the “Administrator”). All queries relating to the Offer should be sent to Lock-in Marketing at 7 Walker Avenue, Milton Keynes, MK12 5TW or emailed to eonnext-smart@love-rewards.com.

  2. Entries will be separated into two pools; residential and non-residential business, from which winners for each category will be drawn by 15th of July 2024 (the “Prize Winner Draw Date”) using a computerised process. The computerised process will randomly select a winner from each pool of eligible customers (the “Prize Winners”).

  3. Prize Winners will be notified by email to the email address provided within 5 (five) working days of the Prize Winner Draw Date (the “Initial Winner Notification Email”).

  4. The Initial Winner Notification Email will contain details of how the Prize Winners can select and claim their Prize.

  5. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Prize Winners. If a Prize Winner has not contacted the Administrator within 14 (fourteen) days of the Initial Winner Notification Email, a second email (the “Second Winner Notification Email”) will be sent to that Prize Winner, which will be followed up by a telephone call from the Administrator (where the Prize Winner has provided telephone contact information).

  6. If the Prize Winner does not respond to the Administrator within 30 (thirty) days of the date of the Second Winner Notification Email and/or telephone call, the Prize will be forfeited, and an alternative Prize Winner will be drawn and notified following the same process.

  7. The surname and county of residence of Prize Winner will be made available on request to the Promoter. Prize Winners may object to their surname or county of residence being published by submitting their objection to eonnext-smart@love-rewards.com within 14 (fourteen) days of the Prize Winner Notification date. Without prejudice to a Prize Winner’s right to object, the Promoter will provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

  8. If a Prize Winner rejects their Prize, the Prize will be forfeited and an alternative Prize Winner may be drawn.

  9. It is the Prize Winner’s responsibility to provide correct contact and/or delivery information; if incorrect details are provided this could delay fulfilment of the Prize or result in forfeiting the Prize.

  10. Prizes cannot be amended or changed once an eGift has been sent to the Prize Winner at their request or after The Promoter has confirmed an order for, supply or installation of a product or service selected as a Prize; thereafter, cancellation by the Prize Winner will result in forfeiting the Prize.

7. The Prizes:

  1. There are 10 (ten) prizes worth up to £3,000 (three thousand pounds) each, which can be won by residential customers and 5 (five) prizes worth up to £6,000 (six thousand pounds) each, which can be won by non-residential business customers which must be redeemed in accordance with clause 6(b) below (the “Prize”).

  2. Prize Winners may redeem the Prize by choosing one of the following Prize Options:

    1. a reduction on an energy solution offered by E.ON Energy Solutions Limited (including Solar PV, Boiler, Air Source Heat Pump or EV Charger) equal to the value of the Prize at 6(a) (the “Energy Solution Prize"); or

    2. a bill credit on their E.ON Next energy account (the “Bill Credit Prize”) equal to the value of the Prize at 6(a); or

    3. eGift vouchers for B&Q or Argos equal to the value of the Prize at 6(a) (the “eGift Vouchers Prize”).

Prize options are subject to further terms specific to each option as set out below:

A. Energy Solution Prize

If the Prize Winner redeems the Prize by selecting the Energy Solution Prize, the following terms and conditions will apply:

  1. the Prize Winner will be offered a free consultation with a home solutions expert to help them decide which solution is best for them and ensure they can meet any eligibility criteria for each solution (caveat for Geography and t’s and c’s apply). If the Prize Winner is a tenant of a rental property, they must seek permission first from their landlord and may be required to provide proof of such consent in written form. If, after the consultation and survey phase, it is established that none of the available options of the Energy Solution Prize are suitable or the Prize Winner decides against any energy solution option, an alternative Prize can be redeemed (i.e. eGift Voucher Prize or Bill Credit Prize);

  2. if the cost of the selected Energy Solution Prize option is less than the value of the Prize, the difference will be awarded as bill credit. Please see the ‘Bill Credit Prize’ section for details on how this will be paid;

  3. if the cost of the selected Energy Solution Prize option is higher than the Prize, the Prize Winner will be required to pay the difference/surplus in accordance with the standard terms and conditions applicable to the purchase of the selected option set out below.

EV Charger Solution

  • The Prize Winners who opt to redeem the prize value against an EV Charger will be required to book a video call with an expert through an online journey. A full site survey will need to be carried out to fully quote your system. The Prize Winner must live in a property that is suitable for the installation of an EV Charger and is not excluded for any health and safety, structural or technical reasons connected with the property. B. Bill Credit Prize

If the Prize Winner redeems the Prize by selecting the Bill Credit Prize, the following terms will apply:

  1. the Prize will be applied to the Prize Winner’s E.ON Next account as a monthly credit payment of £250 (residential customers) or £500 (non-residential business customers) that will continue until the full amount has been credited;

  2. If a Prize Winner switches to an alternative energy supplier before the full Bill Credit Prize amount has been paid, they will be offered an eGift voucher to be redeemed against one of the other Administrator awarded Prizes, herein, to the value of any remaining Prize credit.

  3. where the Prize Winner’s regular payments exceed the monthly payment amount of £250 (residential customers) or £500 (non-residential business customers) per month bill credit that they are receiving from the Bill Credit Prize, either due to usage or usage and debt repayments, the Prize Winner may be required to make additional monthly payments to cover the difference.

  4. There is no cash or other alternative to the Bill Credit Prize.

C. eGift Vouchers Prize

If the Prize Winner redeems the Prize by selecting the eGift Vouchers Prize, the following terms and conditions will apply:

  1. eGift Voucher Prizes will be managed and supplied to Prize Winners by the Administrator. The Administrator will contact the Prize Winner within 7 days confirming the selected prize;

  2. once the Prize Winner been issued with the eGift Voucher, no changes can be made and no alternative Prize may be chosen;

  3. the eGift Voucher Prize is subject to the applicable retailer’s terms and conditions which can be found at:

  5. If the Prize Winner ceases to be a customer of E.ON Next before their Prize is claimed or the eGift Voucher Prize is issued, the Prize will be forfeited.

8. General:

  1. E.ON Next and Lock-in Marketing are not responsible for the quality or availability of products provided by B&Q or Argos. Any complaints relating to products supplied by the retailer should be made directly to the retailer (B&Q and/or Argos).

  2. Lock-in Marketing are not responsible for the Smart Meter installation provided by E.ON Next.

  3. E.ON Next may feature the Prize Winners on any of its media, including but not limited to social media, email and websites for advertising, promotion, publicity and communication purposes without restriction. Prize Winners may object to use and/or publication by submitting their objection to eonnext-smart@love-rewards.com within 14 (fourteen) days of accepting the Prize.

  4. To the fullest extent permitted by law, E.ON Next’s liability to customers in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for any loss, injury or damage of whatever kind caused in whole or in part by participation in the Prize Draw, or by their failure to perform any of their obligations under these terms and conditions will in no event exceed £100. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits the E.ON Next’s liability for death or personal injury arising from their negligence, or fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by the laws of England and Wales.
