No immediate change for customers of either business, with all tariffs and customer service channels unchanged.
E.ON has completed its acquisition of OVO, the UK residential energy supplier, following clearance by the relevant authorities including the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
The intention set out in May by E.ON Next, when the transaction was first announced, is unchanged: further strengthen a retail energy business with the technology, capability and customer base to make new energy work for everyone.
There is no immediate change for customers of E.ON Next or OVO. Existing tariffs are honoured in full, customer service channels continue as they are, and customers will be given plenty of notice of any future change that affects them.
Chris Norbury, CEO of E.ON UK, said: “We are pleased to have completed this acquisition but our first priority is unchanged: looking after our customers, in both E.ON Next and in OVO. In a fiercely competitive market, flexibility and scale are what allow us to deliver for customers now and to transform for the energy system to come. Our job is to make new energy work - for everyone.”
