Our Next Optimise tariff helps you turn your solar and battery into an intelligent energy partner.

The app’s AI connects to wholesale prices and charges up your battery when they’re lower. You can use that stored energy when prices are higher, or sell it back to the grid.

You can also see real-time prices, usage, and export payments clearly. No hidden costs and no exit fees. Choose between automation or manual mode anytime. Plus, keep full visibility and authority over your home energy.

We've put together some answers to our most asked questions to help guide you through the app set-up process.

How to get started with the Next Optimise app.

Getting started isn't as tricky as you might think. Follow the setup instructions below to install the app and connect to your system.

Installing the Next Optimise app.

Install the Next Optimise app on your iPhone from the iOS Store or on your Android from the Google Play Store. You won't be able to access the Amber functionality through any other Eon app.

Log in to the Next Optimise app once it's been installed.

You'll have received an email from our onboarding team with your Temporary Password.

You may be asked to change your password immediately on login. If not, you can change it later in the Settings tab within the app.

Add your solar panel system capacity.

On the Devices tab, add the details of your solar panel system.

Authorise battery access.

Next, you need to authorise the Next Optimise app to access your battery. The method will depend on your battery type.

The onboarding message will remind you of your battery details and include a link to your battery’s manufacturer in case you need further details.

Tests after authorisation granted.

The app can take up to 24 hours for the final pre-launch tests to complete. After 24 hours, your main dashboard should start displaying live data.
