We've developed a set of new energy tariffs tailored to new homes with renewable technology already in place. They're designed to complement the installed assets and aim to provide the new home owner/occupier with an affordable, fixed monthly bill.

Yes, this is an E.ON Next tariff. When you move into your new home you can sign up to the Home Confidence tariff, if the home is eligible.

No, your home will need to meet specific requirements to be eligible for the Home Confidence tariff.

We need to ensure that there are sufficient renewable assets (i.e. solar panels, and battery) installed and located on a site where we're partnering with the developer to provide the Home Confidence tariff.

We're currently working with several developers across a number of sites, and this list will be updated periodically.

With the changes in the Future Homes Standards, developers are becoming more proactive in building new homes that include renewable assets.

We understand that the costs of living are increasing and regular monthly payments for a mortgage or rent and utilities are the largest outgoings for most.

We want to help customers buying or renting a new home by optimising the renewable assets to provide an affordable, fixed monthly electricity payment.

We've used the estimated energy consumption for the relevant size property, published by Ofgem to calculate the fixed monthly payment.

To help provide you with a fixed monthly payment for electricity, we're introducing a fair usage policy for the Home Confidence tariff. The policy will set a fair usage limit to help guide customers on using energy responsibility and keep your monthly cost as low as possible.

As this is a new concept, for the first 12 months we've set your fair usage allowance at a high level to help us get it right for you. We ask that you use energy responsibly and minimise your carbon emissions.

If the allowance is exceeded, any additional energy will be charged at the standard variable E7 tariff (SVT E7).

You'll be able to keep an eye on your energy usage within our app. We'll notify you if you're approaching your fair usage allowance, and we recommend that you get in touch with us to discuss next steps.

You'll be responsible for maintaining your solar and battery system and Home Energy Management System (HEMS).

It's essential there's a working internet connection in your home so we can communicate with your renewable assets. If there's an issue we reserve the right to move you to a different tariff.

Yes. To be able to provide you with a low monthly payment, we need to be able to optimise your renewable assets. The HEMS enables us to do this.

If you choose to not use the HEMS, we'll need to move you to an alternative tariff.

The Home Confidence tariff is a blended import/export tariff. This means we make sure you have the energy you need and we'll sell any excess energy when it's needed by the grid. 

By selling the excess electricity back to the grid we're able to offer you a low fixed monthly payment, so we can't offer you a Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) export tariff in addition to the Home Confidence tariff.

If you'd prefer to obtain a SEG export tariff, we'll need to move you to an alternative import tariff.

Yes, we have a fixed gas tariff available when you sign up to the Home Confidence tariff for your electricity.

Your gas usage and associated charges will show as a separate item on your monthly energy bill.

No, there are no exit fees with our Home Confidence tariff. You can switch at any time.
