Refer a Friend terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions govern receiving and redeeming referral rewards, and are in addition to the full terms and conditions of your energy supply tariff.

Definitions.

Referrer – An existing customer that is supplied by E.ON Next and is eligible to refer non-E.ON Next supplied customer to join us.

Referred Family or Friend – Prospective customers that are not supplied by E.ON Next and receive a referral link to join E.ON Next.

Referral link – A URL that is unique to the referrer.

Reward - Credit added to an energy account.

Referrer Rewards.

  • The referrer is offered an account credit amount for each friend or family member who joins E.ON Next as a new customer (i.e. the new customer is not currently supplied by E.ON Next and subsequently joins via eonnext.com using the referrer's unique URL).

  • The account credit (reward) is subject to change at any time and will vary by campaign. Our latest offer amount can be found on the referrer's online account or by clicking the referral URL.

  • If the referred family or friend cancels their energy supply switch neither the referrer nor referee will receive the reward.

  • For the referrer to qualify for the reward the referred family or friend must be a new customer to E.ON Next and must meet the conditions of their reward (see Referred Family & Friends rewards section below).

  • Rewards will be added to the account once the referred family or friend’s energy supply is live with E.ON Next and their first month's Direct Debit has been successful. This is usually within 4 weeks.

  • The referred family or friend must use the referrer's unique referral URL to sign up. Failing to do so will result in no reward being paid to either the referrer or referee.

  • E.ON Next reserves the right to vary or withdraw the offer at any time without notice, however rewards validly earnt by the referrer before this time will be honoured.

  • To be a referrer you must be supplied by E.ON Next and must be over the age of 18.

  • When sharing the referral link you must not falsely claim to represent E.ON Next.

  • You must not pay for advertising of your referral links across social media platforms or search engines.

  • You must not share your referral link on any review websites or community platforms. For example, you cannot post to Trustpilot multiple times or include it as part of your review.

  • If we have reason to believe you are sending or advertising your Personalised Link to people who are not known to you or if you are in any way trying to benefit from our referral scheme on a commercial basis rather than for personal use, you won't be eligible, and we reserve the right to deactivate your Personalised Link.

  • If we suspect that you are in breach of any of the terms and conditions, we reserve the right to suspend you from the programme at any point.

  • You will not be eligible to withdraw the credit from your account as cash within the term of your contract (including where you decide to change supplier earlier than your contract end date).

  • If you pay by Direct Debit and ask us to refund any credit you have built up on your account back to you, the Refer a Friend credit will be excluded from any refund within the term of your contract.

Referred Family & Friends Rewards.

  • The referred friend is offered an account credit when they become a new E.ON Next energy supply customer and have paid their first month's Direct Debit.

  • In order to qualify for the reward, the referred family or friend must be a new customer to E.ON Next and must sign up using the referrer's unique URL.

  • Rewards will not be sent if the transfer of the energy supply to E.ON Next is not completed.

  • The offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount that E.ON Next has live at the time of sign up.

  • Rewards will be paid once the referred family or friend comes on supply and they have paid their first monthly Direct Debit. This is usually within 4 weeks.

  • Once the referred family or friend is on supply, they will be able to share their unique and personalised referral links with family and friends.

  • They cannot sign up through a price comparison website or over the phone to receive the referral reward. All referrals must be done through the unique referral link (URL).

  • You will not be able to withdraw the credit from your energy account as cash.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
