We offer our businesses bespoke fixed year contracts, with no auto roll over.
How does business electricity pricing work?
We offer bespoke pricing to each customer, fixed for 1, 2 or 3 years. We can agree prices up to 180 days in advance of your current one ending.
Do you offer smart meters for businesses?
Yes! Having a smart meter installed at your business premises is free of charge.
Do I need to provide anything to my existing supplier when I join E.ON Next?
No, we'll handle all of that for you, including sending them your final meter readings. We do recommend clearing any outstanding balance with them to help make your switch go through as smoothly as possible.

When do I provide my opening business meter readings?
We’ll let you know when we need your opening business meter readings, which you can give to us through your online account. If we don’t get your readings then we’ll estimate them for you.
How long does it take to do business energy switch to E.ON Next?
It normally takes a couple of weeks to switch energy suppliers. We'll let you know how the switch is going and when you need to give us any information or meter readings.
What is the VAT rate on business electricity bills?
As per HMRC guidelines, if you use 33 kWh electricity or more per day and 145 kWh of gas or more per day, you will be charged at 20% VAT rate. If you use less than this you will be charged at 5% VAT for gas and 0% for electricity.
What is the Climate Change Levy (CCL) tax?
The Climate Change Levy (CCL), is an energy tax for businesses using an average of 33kWh of electricity or 145kWh of gas a day. It aims to encourage business users to become more energy efficient, and to reduce their carbon emissions.
How do I find out if I'm exempt from the Climate Change Levy tax?
Customs and Excise can tell you. Visit their website or call 0845 010 9000.
