Gas Boiler cover offers assistance in case of a boiler breakdown affecting your home’s heating and hot water supply. With cover in place you can relax, safe in the knowledge that HomeServe will be there when you need them.

You can make a claim 24/7, 365 days a year - online or over the phone. HomeServe will arrange for one of their Gas Safe registered Home Experts to come and get things up and running again as quickly as possible.

You will have to pay £60 excess for each claim you make, unless you’ve opted for a higher £100 excess. You'll need to pay the excess upfront each time you report a new problem, before your claim can be progressed. Payment can only be made using the following cards: MasterCard, Maestro, Visa or Visa Debit.

If you chose to add a service, your boiler will be inspected to make sure it's working as efficiently and as safely as possible. If needed, some of the parts will be cleaned. 

A HomeServe Home Expert will check that all seals and gaskets are secure, and they'll test the gas connections and pressure. In some cases, they'll also visually check any gas appliances in your home if required.

You can get cover through HomeServe if your home is heated with natural gas and you’re a homeowner living in a house, flat or bungalow. This cover isn't available to landlords or tenants and those living in bedsits or mobile homes.

This insurance covers natural gas boilers only (not LPG, oil or solid fuel) that have a total power input of less than 70 KW.

Dual-purpose boilers, warm air heating systems, combination and thermal storage units aren't covered. There are also certain boiler makes and models, including back boiler units that cannot be covered.
