Single-rate meters. Simple and straightforward, these are ideal for businesses with consistent energy use throughout the day.
Two-rate meters. Also known as ‘Economy 7’, these can be a great option if you use more energy during off-peak hours.
Smart meters. These send your readings to us automatically, giving you more accurate bills and a better understanding of your energy consumption.
Half hourly meters. For larger micro businesses, these meters provide detailed data on your energy use every 30 minutes, which can help you make more informed decisions.

Getting the right size meter is really important, as it helps ensure your supply is reliable and your bills are accurate. Before we can arrange a gas meter installation we'll need to know if the gas pressure is low or medium, then we can assign the correct engineer to the job.

We'll handle everything from getting your new meter installed, to setting up your energy tariff, and sending out your first bill.
Your DNO connection.
First, your local Distribution Network Operator (DNO) will deal with the new supply to your business. This includes the initial site assessment, providing a quote and then installing the physical connection.
We register your supply.
Once the DNO has finished their work, they'll create a Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) for gas or a Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN) for electricity. We'll then register this for you so we can take over from here.
Quote and tariff set up.
We'll then send you a quote for your energy tariff. Once you've accepted it, we'll set up your account.
Meter installation.
Once you're officially on supply with us, we'll book the new meter to be installed at a time that suits you.
Your first bill.
After your new meter is in, we'll manage your account until your first bill has been sent out. We're here to help if you have any questions along the way.
