We’re all rethinking our energy usage right now, but did you know the difference a few simple changes can make to your energy bill? Cold appliances such as freezers account for 13% of your bill. Freezers are on 24 hours a day so there’s a benefit to investing in energy efficient appliances if you’re thinking of replacing yours. For instance, choosing a A-rated fridge freezer over an F-rated unit can save you about £800 over its usual 17-year lifetime. Appliances like washing machines, dishwashers and tumble dryers account for 14% of your bill.
